The Minister of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger, Wellington Dias, was elected, this Tuesday (February 11), president of the Champions Council of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty. He is attending the first meeting of the group in Rome, Italy, alongside First Lady Janja Lula da Silva.
“I am taking on a great responsibility here. I know that this trust is related to all the leadership of Brazil with President Lula, who has brought to the global agenda the discussion of ways to overcome hunger and poverty within this Global Alliance,” stated Dias.
