At the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund this year, the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty will host two side events to advance concrete pathways toward ending hunger and poverty. The Spring Meetings will also mark the official launch of the Global Alliance’s DC Hub, hosted by the World Bank.

What it takes to scale: Country action on jobs for the poor
Organized in collaboration with the Jobs for the Poor Impact Programme of the World Bank, this convening will bring together Senior Leadership of the World Bank, Ministers and development partners to illustrate country action plans that coordinate policies, programmes and resources to expand job opportunities in the poorest communities. Participants will also explore how national programmes are integrating support for entrepreneurship and self‑employment into broader economic inclusion approaches.

Financing solutions for hunger and poverty: From commitments to action
This high-level dialogue will convene key stakeholders to discuss possible solutions for better coordinated, multi-actor financing towards ending hunger and poverty. The event serves as a follow-up on the commitments made at the Fourth Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Sevilla, exploring implementation pathways through ongoing initiatives of the Global Alliance.
