The Plan to Accelerate Solutions (PAS) Implementation Workshop – “Accelerating Solutions for the Belém Declaration on Hunger, Poverty and Human-Centred Climate Action” – will take place on November 11, 2025, from 09h30 AM to 10h30 AM, during the UN Climate Change Conference – COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
This session will gather governments, international organizations and development partners to discuss the Plan to Accelerate Solutions (PAS) for Reducing the Effects of Climate Change on the Fight against Hunger and Poverty: Climate-Resilient Social Protection and Smallholder Agriculture Finance Partnership. The PAS serves as an instrument for governments and non-state actors to commit to concrete and specific actions in support of the Belém Leaders’ Declaration on Hunger, Poverty and Human-Centred Climate Action.
The workshop aims to coordinate and advance joint efforts to operationalize the Belém Declaration through actionable commitments and improved coordination between governments, development banks and international partners.
Expected Outcomes:
- Coordinate and establish relevant baselines and track progress across the seven target areas of the Belém Declaration, with a view to a stocktaking by 2030 and interim progress assessment by 2028.
