Reimagining Financing: Social protection in fragility, conflict, and violence settings

2h45 pm - 3h45 pm

This interactive session will explore how domestic, development and humanitarian financing can be better aligned and strengthened – anchored in national social protection systems – to deliver greater efficiency and lasting impact.   Featuring Ministers from Lebanon and Syria, g7+ and the World Bank Group Office in Sudan, the discussion will take stock of country-level innovations and global efforts aimed at unlocking and integrating financing. In a dramatically shifting global landscape, the event builds on momentum from recent initiatives including the Financing for Development Summit 2025, the UK and Somalia’s joint Catalytic Agenda on Social Protection for Stability; and Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty.
