Haiti faces persistent high rates of poverty, food and nutrition insecurity and forced displacement, exacerbated by security, economic, and climate crises. With support from members of the Global Alliance, the Government of Haiti plans to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable groups through cash and food transfers, cash-for-work and economic inclusion support.

During a three-day workshop, hosted by the Alliance Support Mechanism with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank Group (WFP) and the World Food Programme (WFP), Haitian government officials and development partners will work together to refine the plan’s strategic vision, alignment with the National Policy on Social Protection and Promotion (PNPPS), and identify priorities for technical, financial and knowledge partnerships with the Alliance’s broader membership.
