G20: IDB will announce US$ 25 billion for action to combat hunger and poverty

IDB President will announce an investment of US$ 25 billion for the Global Alliance to Combat Hunger and Poverty during the G20 event in Rio.

The President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Ilan Goldfajn, will announce an investment of US$ 25 billion for the Global Alliance to Combat Hunger and Poverty during the Social G20 in Rio de Janeiro.

The announcement is expected to be made during the virtual participation of the IDB President at the G20 this Friday (November 15). Brazil’s Minister of Social Development, Wellington Dias, from Lula’s government, will also take part in the announcement.
