The statement highlights Brazil’s leadership in creating the G20 Initiative on Bioeconomy, considered a significant milestone in driving a sustainable global bioeconomy. The integration of this initiative into the European and global context was pointed out as a significant advancement to align efforts in food security and sustainable resource use, promoting strategic partnerships.
Furthermore, ministers emphasized the importance of leveraging existing global alliances, such as the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, to expand cooperation among countries and sectors. This approach reflects the need to unite efforts towards common goals, such as eradicating hunger and creating resilient and inclusive food systems.
The event reaffirmed Europe’s commitment to building joint solutions, positioning itself as a leader in advancing sustainable models and promoting economic development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
