During the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit in Paris, hold on March 27–28, the interim Transition Support Team represented the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty on the main stage of the Summit as well as in several associated side events.
As Co-Chair of the Alliance’s Board of Champions, alongside Spain, Brazil highlighted the deep alignment between the N4G agenda and the three pillars of the Global Alliance: supporting effective national policies, mobilizing inclusive and coordinated financing, and advancing evidence-based solutions.
The N4G final declaration emphasized how the Alliance can help deliver on the ambitions of N4G – and how N4G commitments can in turn strengthen and accelerate the goals of the Global Alliance. Areas of convergence include school feeding, social protection, and the transformation of food systems for better health and climate resilience. In this regard, the Global Alliance offers a valuable platform to implement and scale up N4G commitments, particularly through its support for nationally driven policies and its focus on food and nutrition security.
All members of the Alliance, especially those on the Board of Champions, are encouraged to engage with their national delegations to ensure that the messages of the Alliance are visible and heard throughout N4G Paris. The Summit represents a critical opportunity to elevate our shared agenda and build momentum toward ending hunger and extreme poverty by 2030.
