DEAR READER,
We are pleased to share the October 2025 edition of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty Newsletter. This month, the Alliance made significant progress in advancing its global agenda to accelerate action against hunger and poverty.
The Second Meeting of the Board of Champions, held on October 13 at FAO Headquarters in Rome, marked an important step with the installation of the Alliance’s Support Mechanism. The meeting brought together global leaders, ministers, and international organizations to assess progress and define next steps in the collective effort to eradicate hunger and poverty.
During the 2025 IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings, the Alliance joined the Office of the Executive Director for Brazil at the World Bank to host a high-level roundtable on financing solutions to fast-track hunger and poverty reduction. The Alliance also welcomed new members, surpassing the milestone of 200 participants — 104 countries and 97 organizations.
As preparations continue for the First Leaders’ Meeting in Doha, these achievements reflect the growing commitment of partners to translate ambition into action and deliver tangible results for people and communities around the world.
Together, we continue building a future free from hunger and poverty.
